Technical Assistance to District of Columbia Public Schools to Co-Develop Fidelity Standards for a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS@DCPS), Session 1.1

The purpose of this session is to explore how educators have experienced the District of Columbia Public Schools' Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS@DCPS) in Years 1 and 2 of implementation and how the framework supports or hinders their work to provide tiered supports to every DCPS student. This session will encourage educators to consider the extent to which current tiered supports affirm students' culture as well as how MTSS procedures (e.g. collaboration meetings and protocols for data-based decisionmaking) help educators critically reflect on individual and school-level practices that may contribute to inequitable student outcomes.
