Description: The purpose of working session 3.1 will be twofold: 1) to refamiliarize District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) partners with key natural language processing (NLP) concepts and 2) to demonstrate through a co-analysis activity how to employ NLP to examine DCPS data. The activity will use screen sharing capabilities and allow time for questions and checks for understanding throughout. By the end of this session, DCPS will have reviewed the concepts of basic NLP techniques and understand how to apply them to their data.
