About this event

Social and emotional learning (SEL) contributes to a welcoming learning environment and better academic outcomes for all students. As part of the 2021 Oregon Response to Instruction & Intervention conference, REL Northwest's Vicki Nishioka shared the research and strategies on teaching SEL within a response to intervention (RTI) framework. The goal of the session is to increase participants' understanding of the evidence-base for quality SEL implementation in schools, including promising practices related to RTI's essential components, increasing adult capacity, and promoting equity.
