Career and Technical Education (CTE) Data in Oregon

February 26—May 8, 2021

In collaboration with the Oregon Graduation and Postsecondary Success Alliance, REL Northwest is holding a series of trainings to support district leaders and CTE instructors in Oregon by increasing their understanding of CTE participation, concentration, and persistence rates of students in their districts, with a focus on special populations of students as defined in the reauthorization of the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).

Increasing educators' understanding of gaps in credit attainment among students, both statewide and for special student populations, and training educators on how to analyze the root causes of identified equity gaps will increase their capacity to target resources to improve and strengthen the equitable provision of local CTE programming.

Below are the materials that were used during the training and a recording of the session.

Training 1: Using CTE Data to Identify Equity Gaps in Oregon

Training 2: Strategies for Closing Equity Gaps in CTE
