Tuesday, November 12 & 19, 2019
REL Appalachia staff supported educators at Harts PreK–8 (November 12) and Omar Elementary School (November 19) in West Virginia to host community math nights. Community math nights are designed to engage educators, children, and family members in learning and talking about mathematics, helping family members participate in their child's learning and support their child's academic success. Our fall math nights are focused on mathematics at work. They feature job talks from community members who use math in their every day work and hands-on math activities for families.
