Improving Postsecondary Transitions Partnership

Stakeholders across Virginia are interested in strategies that encourage and support students' successful transition from high school to postsecondary education programs and careers, particularly for rural students and other historically underserved populations. REL AP is working with a core group of leaders in Virginia to fill knowledge and information gaps and provide support to help the state and others use evidence to strengthen students' preparation for college.

Goals

Promote the success of traditionally underserved students in postsecondary education and careers by:
- identifying, developing, and supporting use of practices that strengthen high school graduates' transition to college and careers and
- answering regionally relevant research questions about credentialing practices in local industries.
