About Our Region

Geographically defined by four of the Great Lakes and the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, REL Midwest’s seven-state region is home to more than 55.4 million people—approximately 17 percent of the nation’s population. More than 530,000 teachers serve approximately 8.6 million students in nearly 20,000 public schools.
