Supporting Illinois Districts to Measure Changes in Student Learning After COVID-19–Related Suspension of In-Person Learning

Regional Education Laboratory (REL) Midwest is hosting a session with Illinois public school districts to train participants to use REL Midwest’s Toolkit for Assessing Learning Changes After Spring 2020 COVID-19 School Closures to understand changes in learning after COVID-19–related school closures. District staff learn how to use the toolkit to develop targeted research questions on student learning changes after COVID-19 school building closures, survey available data sources and determine the quality of data available, determine an appropriate approach for estimating changes in learning, interpret findings from potential analyses, and develop next steps and identify future data collection efforts.
