Comprehensive Supports for College-Bound Students
Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Time: 2:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. Central Time
Location: Virtual
Description:
This webinar highlights the effects of various college readiness supports on student success, featuring research findings on supports that only provide financial aid compared to supports that combine financial aid with academic preparation. Presenters highlight a Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Midwest study that explores the correlation between financial aid—some paired with college readiness supports—and early college success. In addition, presenters discuss the 21st Century Scholars and Oklahoma’s Promise programs, two initiatives that provide financial aid contingent upon student academic progress and postsecondary planning in high school. The 21st Century Scholars program is covered in the REL Midwest report.
