Transforming Professional Learning: Meeting the Needs of Online and Blended Educators

Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Time: 2:00–3:00 p.m. Central Time

Location: Virtual

Description:

What professional development do online teachers need to provide quality virtual learning experiences? In this webinar, sponsored by the Wisconsin Digital Learning Collaborative, researchers from REL Midwest’s former Virtual Education Research Alliance describe a survey tool for exploring how well virtual professional development aligns with the experiences, challenges, and preferences expressed by online teachers. Staff from the Wisconsin Virtual School, which helped develop the tool, then share survey findings and implementation strategies to meet identified needs. Last, three practitioners share their perspectives on addressing online teachers’ professional learning needs.
