Using data to enact change

September 3, 2020

During the 2019/20 school year, Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Midwest facilitated a collaborative research partnership called a networked improvement community, or NIC, that included teachers and administrators from alternative learning programs in Minnesota. This REL Midwest video shares experiences from teachers, administrators, and students as they go through a continuous improvement cycle as part of the NIC. The video also provides information about the effect the continuous improvement approach can have on improving credit-recovery strategies and student completion of credit recovery to ultimately improve high school graduation rates.

For more information on the Minnesota alternative learning NIC, see this blog post: Setting goals to stay on track: Using a continuous improvement process to strengthen credit recovery and high school graduation rates.
