Partnerships
REL Northeast & Islands conducts our work primarily through collaborative researcher-practitioner partnerships and alliances comprised of regional educators, policymakers, researchers, and others who share specific education concerns. These partnerships and alliances develop coherent research agendas to address high-leverage education needs and produce applied research, training, coaching, and events that advance the use of evidence in education decision making.
We support six research partnerships and four research alliances. Each partnership includes stakeholders from a single state or territory and is tightly focused on a particular research priority in that jurisdiction. Alliances are cross-jurisdictional, involving members from several states and/or territories in the region who have a shared interest in a broader problem of practice.
Additionally, each alliance or partnership aligns with one of our region's four education priorities.
