Many students in American Samoa graduate from high school unprepared for college-level work or success in the workforce. Our partners in American Samoa are committed to using research results, data, and best practices to guide policy and practice to increase college and career readiness and success.
Goals
- Use research results, data, and best practices to guide policy and practice to increase college, career and life readiness and success in American Samoa
- Connect the K–12 longitudinal data system with the college data system to better understand the transition between high school and college
- Design courses at the high school that are better-aligned and connected to what is needed to prepare students for college and workforce expectations
- Study the effectiveness of developmental education at American Samoa Community College
