Kosrae Partnership for the Improvement of Teaching
The design of high-quality professional learning experiences for teachers, including access to four-year and graduate-level teacher preparation, is a complex and challenging issue in the Pacific region. The Kosrae Partnership for the Improvement of Teaching is committed to focusing on the improvement of teaching (pre-service and in-service) at the state level.
Goals
- Develop a clearer model of effective instruction, improved professional learning opportunities for in-service teachers, and the development of preservice teacher preparation that is better aligned for developing new teachers with the content knowledge, attitude, and skills required to be effective teachers in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).

Training, Coaching & Technical Support (TCTS) in Progress
REL Pacific is working collaboratively with Partnership members in Kosrae in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) to design high-quality professional learning experiences for teachers. The Partnership's goals include developing a clearer model of effective instruction within the region, improving professional learning opportunities, and developing pre-service teacher preparation that is better aligned with the content knowledge, attitude, and skills that are required for effective teaching in the FSM.
