Republic of Palau Partnership for the Improvement of Teaching
The design of high-quality professional learning experiences for teachers, including access to four-year and graduate-level teacher preparation, is a complex and challenging issue in the Pacific region. The Palau Partnership is committed to focusing on the improvement of teaching (pre-service and in-service).
Goals
- Improve instruction through teacher preparation and development (pre-service and in-service).
- Develop an aligned, credible system of teacher evaluation.

Training, Coaching & Technical Support (TCTS) in Progress
REL Pacific is working closely with the Palau Partnership for the Improvement of Teaching to design better support systems for teacher preparation, induction, retention, and instruction. Education leaders in Palau seek to improve the design of professional learning opportunities for both in-service and pre-service teachers.
