Pohnpei Partnership for College and Career Readiness and Success
Many students in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) graduate from high school unprepared for college-level credit-bearing courses or to be successful in the workforce. Our partners in Pohnpei are committed to using research results, data, and best practices to guide policy and practice to increase college and career readiness and success.
Goals
- Support collaboration among members from
K–12, college, and career settings. - Guide policy and practice to increase college, career and life readiness and success.
- Increase awareness of evidence-based strategies used to help more students transition successfully from high school to college and careers.
- Increase the number of students who are ready for credit-bearing courses, a key indicator of college readiness.

Training, Coaching & Technical Support (TCTS) in Progress
The Pohnpei Partnership for the Improvement of Teaching uses research results, data, and best practices to guide policy and practice to improve pre-service and in-service professional learning opportunities for teachers. The Partnership's goal is to develop a clearer model of effective instruction, improve professional learning opportunities for in-service teachers, and develop pre-service teacher preparation that includes the content knowledge, attitude, and skills required for effective teaching in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
