Description

data coaching

The goal of this project is to provide technical support to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) to increase their knowledge of evidence-based practices used to recruit and retain school leaders in rural districts. The REL Southeast will provide a series of activities to enhance NCDPI's capacity to (1) use research literature on the quality of school leaders and evidence-based practices used to recruit and retain rural school leaders and (2) collect data to gain a better understanding on how districts recruit and retain school leaders. One outcome is the identification of factors that may improve the pipeline and retention of quality school leaders in North Carolina rural schools. Another outcome is to build capacity of NCDPI to conduct research using focus groups, interviews, and surveys.
