Reducing absenteeism

Building upon recently initiated work in the Central Valley to access and interpret local attendance data, three school-based health centers and their host schools and districts have partnered with REL West and Attendance Works to develop research-based attendance improvement efforts. Through a sequence of in-person, site-based, and cross-site coaching activities to strengthen knowledge and skill, REL West is helping participants better understand the extent and nature of their attendance problems, and then identify and implement promising improvement approaches.
