School climate
Recognizing the importance of measuring and improving campus climate, a network of California schools and districts teamed up with school climate experts and state education agency personnel to form the Middle Grades School Climate Alliance.
In this issue of the REL West Research Digest, read about the evolving work of this professional learning community–which includes a team from REL West at WestEd that provides technical assistance and data analysis–and its members use of school climate data to drive a cycle of assessing needs, implementing improvement projects, and monitoring progress.
