This second webinar in a three-part series examined the impacts of explicitly teaching social and emotional learning skills in schools on student academic and non-academic outcomes. Additionally, this presentation shared evidence-based practices for incorporating SEL measures into a balanced system of assessments to support SEL skill development and explained how Hawai‘i educators are using SEL assessment as part of a multi-tiered system of support to improve students’ SEL skills and well-being.
