Community Math Nights 2021

Location: Virtual

Description: Community math nights (CMN) are designed to engage educators, children, and family members in learning and talking about mathematics, helping family members participate in their child's learning and support their child's academic success. REL Appalachia staff virtually host CMN trainings with educators from elementary schools in Kentucky in January and from West Virginia in March. These trainings focus on the importance of engaging families in math education, the power of positive mindsets, and hands-on practice with interactive math games that teachers facilitate during their CMN event.

Partnership or Research Alliance: Community Math Nights

Audience: This workshop is intended for elementary math educators, students, and family members.
