Self-Study Guide for Career Readiness in Secondary Schools

Location: Virtual session at Florida Association for Career and Technical Education (FACTE) annual conference

Description: Participants will learn and discuss how to plan and implement evidence-based district and school career readiness practices.

This session and the guide are intended to promote reflection about current strengths and challenges in planning for implementation of career readiness practices, spark conversations among staff, and identify areas for improvement. The guide provides a template for data collection and guiding questions for discussion that may improve the implementation of career readiness practices and increase the number of students earning high school diplomas and successfully transition to postsecondary training and careers.

Audience: The session is for FACTE conference attendees who are administrators and educators working in settings in which students are beginning to think about career options.
