Summer Research Training Institute: Design and Analysis of Practical Quasi-Experiments for use in Education: August August 8–12, 2011 and August 15–19, 2011
Objective: | The National Center for Education Research (NCER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education announces its first Summer Research Training Institute on Better Quasi-Experimental Design and Analysis in order to increase the national capacity of researchers to develop and conduct rigorous evaluations of the impact of education interventions. The Institute will hold a one-week long training session twice this year. |

Costs and Stipends: | Northwestern University will pay the cost for attendees' tuition during the week. Attendees will be responsible for their travel and lodging costs. A discounted rate has been negotiated at a local hotel. In a few cases, it will be possible to cover all travel and lodging costs for those attendees who demonstrate a special need. |
Application Procedures: | The Summer Training Institute will be offered twice during the summer of 2011. Applicants can indicate their preference for which session they would like to attend; however, only one session will be awarded per applicant.
