Objective: | The National Center for Education Research (NCER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education announces its seventh Summer Research Training Institute on Cluster-Randomized Trials to increase the national capacity of researchers to develop and conduct rigorous evaluations of the impact of education interventions. |

Location: | Northwestern University; Evanston, IL The Training Institute will be held at the Norris Center on the campus of Northwestern University. Northwestern University is located on the shore of Lake Michigan in the town of Evanston, just north of Chicago. Classroom instruction will take place in the Norris Center. Institute participants will be housed at the Hotel Orrington. The hotel is located within walking distance of Northwestern University. |

Eligibility Requirements and Selection Criteria for Training Institute Fellows: |

If selected for participation in the Summer Training Institute, individuals who require reasonable accommodations for disabilities should contact Patti Ferguson at Northwestern University. | Costs and Stipends: | Northwestern University will pay for participants’ travel to and from the Summer Training Institute site, lodging, and for course materials. Participants will be provided a per diem to cover the cost of meals on days of instruction. Participants are responsible for the cost of meals in transit (to and from the Summer Training Institute site) and on the weekend (July 20–21, 2013). |
