Literacy

Literacy underpins success at all levels of education, from early childhood through adult education. IES supports rigorous and relevant research in education and special education, evaluation, survey data collection, and the assessment of literacy skills. Literacy initiatives at IES generate knowledge intended to improve literacy outcomes of all learners. In addition, these investments also support the examination of the learning and development of literacy skills across the lifespan.
