Supplemental information

Purpose: This project will study the item-level effects of accommodations given to special needs students who took the NAEP mathematics and science assessments in 1996 and 2000. The study will attempt to identify items that function differently for accommodated and non-accommodated students, and to determine whether the magnitude of the differential item functioning (DIF) varies across schools.
