Purpose

Under this grant, a University of Washington (UW) research team is studying the year-to-year stability of teacher effects over a nine year period to determine how various measures of teacher performance vary over time, as well as how they vary across different teaching contexts. The study uses data on all teachers and students in North Carolina over the period of school years 1995-96 through 2003-04 and uses a variety of teacher performance measures.
