Supplemental information

Through prior research and development, this company developed Reading Ways, a coaching model with web- and print- based materials to support improving literacy of high school students. In the current project, the team will develop a prototype of an automated delivery platform for hybrid virtual and in-person coaching and collaboration among educators and model developers. The platform will also host materials and provide notifications to support implementation of the model. At the end of Phase I, the research team will conduct a pilot study with six reading educators and a set of Reading Ways model developers, coaches, and administrators to test if the prototype functions as planned, if all of the users can interact during virtual meetings, if the resources are feasible to access, and if educators believe the fully developed product will prepare them to successfully deliver the intervention.
