Supplemental information
Purpose: This project will improve our understanding of how the constructed-response and multiple choice NAEP reading items function by determining: what aspects of reading comprehension are assessed by each type of item, and whether or not these two item types provide all students with an opportunity to demonstrate their reading abilities.
