Test-Based Accountability and Student Achievement: An Investigation of Differential Performance Trends on NAEP and State Assessments

This project will examine in greater depth the difference in student performance on NAEP and on local assessments that have been documented in states like Texas and Kentucky. The study will investigate the extent to which the differences in performance across tests can be explained by the differences in the topics and skills that are covered in each assessment.
