Supplemental information

Purpose: This project will use the 2000 NAEP state mathematics data to investigate the relationship of state reform policies to teacher quality and recruitment and attempt to determine whether these factors affect student mathematics achievement in three states surrounding a large metropolitan area. The project will pay special attention to the impact of reform policies on African-American students and teachers.
