The principal goal of the study is to link differences in state education policies to variations in the trends in three outcomes: the achievement of Black students, the achievement of White students, and the Black-White achievement gaps. This study will update and extend to 2005 the report by Braun et al. (2006) that examined policy and outcome data for these same 10 states for the period 1992 – 2000.
