Purpose

There are two main goals for researchers of this grant to fund a Workshop Series on Methods and Policy Uses of International Large-Scale Student Assessments (ILSAs). The first goal is to convene a pair of workshops to provide: (a) constructive suggestions for improving the design and reporting of ILSAs, and (b) guidance on appropriate interpretations and uses of comparative data from ILSAs to inform education policy. The second main goal is the development and broad dissemination of a workshop summary report as well as hosting a project website where workshop information, webcasts, and report/commissioned papers will be posted.
