This partnership works closely with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MO DESE) and select school districts to use data to monitor teachers’ instructional needs, progress toward goals, and perceptions of their working conditions to enhance retention.
Current projects
This technical support project will help Ritenour School District principals use data to identify teachers’ instructional needs and support school improvement during continued implementation of competency‑based education. By strengthening principals’ ability to respond to teachers’ needs, the project aims to improve working conditions and increase teacher retention.
Completed projects
This study will will leverage data from MO DESE’s spring 2023 first-year teacher surveys to understand the features of mentoring experienced by Missouri first-year teachers and which mentoring features are related to the retention of early-career teachers.
