Increasing Equitable Access to and Success in Honors Courses in Lincoln Public Schools

Learn more about our products

This partnership works with Lincoln Public Schools in Nebraska to help identify and remove barriers preventing secondary students from accessing honors courses and support students’ overall success in these courses, especially for students of color, to reduce its disproportionate rates of enrollment and achievement. Partnership activities include technical support to learn from student and teacher experiences and student outcomes in honors courses in grades 6-12 following open enrollment, and applied research to understand the factors from students’ pasts that help predict whether students take and succeed in honors courses in grade 9, which LPS considers key for ongoing honors course taking in high school.
