REL Mid-Atlantic is partnering with the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) to improve how the state gathers and uses information about its career and technical education (CTE) programs. Together, we are building capacity to collect and use data that can help the state and local districts better understand what’s working well, where gaps exist, and how students move through CTE pathways. This work will help Delaware make more informed decisions so all students can access pathways that lead to economic self-sufficiency.

Current Projects
Delaware has made major investments to grow and improve its CTE programs so more young people can explore careers, build valuable skills, and prepare for employment after high school. These programs span K–12 schools, adult education, job training programs, and colleges and universities across the state.
To help DDOE strengthen its system of continuous improvement, the REL team will provide technical assistance and coaching to create a statewide tool for understanding CTE needs, improve guidance for districts completing their own needs assessments, and build staff capacity to analyze and use the information collected. The partnership will also develop a research agenda to help Delaware better understand who participates in postsecondary CTE, the barriers they encounter, and the outcomes they achieve.
