Summary

This IPEDS Fall Enrollment survey is conducted annually by NCES. This file is a subset of the 1988 data tape produced from that survey and contains racial/ethnic counts. In cases where reported racial/ethnic detail did not add to the total reported enrollment, the difference was distributed in proportion to the reported detail. In some instances, no detail was reported. In these cases, percent distributions reported by similar institutions (level and control) within the institution's State were used to allocate enrollment by racial/ethnic category.
