On July 1, 2025, the Institute of Education Sciences transmitted the National Board for Education Sciences' 2024 Annual Report. It includes: (a) a message from the Acting Director of IES, (b) a message from the NBES Chair, (c) updates from IES staff about the work of their Centers and Offices in 2024, and (d) reflections and recommendations from the Board. The latter includes a memo from NBES to IES leadership on literacy research.
