Revenues and expenditures of institutions of higher education are analyzed in several ways: for 2-year & 4-year, public & private institutions; in constant dollars for all institutions from 1980 through 1988; & in current dollars from 1980 through 1988. Revenues and expenditures are presented in categories by State & the percentage change from fiscal year 1987 to fiscal year 1988 is calculated by State for public & private institutions.
