This Common Core of Data Report provides information about the number of types of public schools and education agencies in the U.S. Student membership is tabulated, for States and the U.S. total, by school size and school grade range. Data are presented on pupil/teachers ratios and such student characteristics as racial/ethnic status and eligibility for free lunch.
