This report presents detailed tabulations of student enrollment in postsecondary institutions in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, for fall 1997. It focuses primarily on degree granting institutions that are eligible for Title IV federal financial aid. Included are summaries of enrollment, by race/ethnicity, gender and age of student. Enrollments by state are also provided. The data are from the Fall Enrollment survey, a part of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) of the U.S. Department of Education/National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
