Summary

In 1998, the majority of public school teachers felt that they were very well prepared to maintain order and discipline in their classrooms. However, teachers were least likely to report that they felt very well prepared to address the needs of special populations (students with disabilities, students with limited English proficiency, and students from diverse cultural backgrounds).
