Disparities in Public School District Spending 1989-90 represents the first study that has combined an existing NCES data base with the new 1990 Census demographic data mapped by NCES to school district boundaries. The report addresses policy questions that relate to the financing of public education. The authors present the findings to these questions both with and without the adjustment and statistical techniques so the readers can choose to examine the results according to their analytical preferences.
