This publication will summarize the basic findings of the department chair and institutional surveys from the 1987-88 National Survey of Postsecondary Faculty. It will be as non-technical as possible, but will contain a methodological chapter and present individual standard errors in the data tables and/or contain an appendix presenting generalized standard errors for use with graphs, charts and tables. The publication will also include a brief Executive Summary highlighting major findings.
