Summary

This report will provide a summary description of the 1992 class of high school seniors. It will highlight academic and social achievement, attitudes and values (citizenship), development of self-concept, educational experiences, course taking, and postsecondary plans. Because they represent the outcomes of our current elementary/secondary school system, a major purpose of this report is to present an overall profile of American high school seniors. Both academic and non-academic education outcomes for major social and demographic subgroups of students will be reported.
