This annual report uses various IPEDS surveys to create indicators that describe enrollment, faculty, finances, and outputs of higher education institutions for the United States average, 50 states and D.C. and Puerto Rico. It creates indexes for each state statistic relative to the national average and for selected statistics, it ranks states on the basis of their indexed value.
