The objectives of this data file user's manual are to describe the procedures used to obtain course offerings (i.e., course catalogs, master schedules, etc.) and course enrollments for the 1981-82 High School and Beyond (HS&B) schools, and to provide the user with the technical assistance needed to use the resulting HS&B computer files. The contents include (1) sample design and implementation, (2) data collection, (3) data control and preparation, (4) data processing, (5) organization and content of the data file, and (6) codebook.
