This brochure highlights findings from the 1995 TIMSS Videotape Classroom Study. This exploratory project collected videotaped records of eighth-grade mathematics classroom instruction in three countries: Germany, Japan, and the United States. Findings provide rich contextual information that adds to our understanding of eighth-grade mathematics teaching and learning.
