This CD-ROM presents mathematics and science results from the 1996 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and the 1996 NAEP State Assessments. Mathematics results from the 1990 and 1992 assessments are also provided for the nation and for states who participated in either or both of those assessments. The student, teacher, and school data from these assessments help to describe some of the current practices and emphases in education and provide an educational context for understanding information about students' proficiency.
