This Ask an Expert response describes how REL Appalachia and the Education Alliance adapted the Competency-Based Learning Survey for Students, developed by REL Northeast & Islands, to West Virginia’s local context to better align with the state’s implementation and outcome goals. The adapted survey captures student perceptions of competency-based learning in a structured and actionable way.
